Just days after appointing former Safeway executive Jocelyn Wong senior vp and chief marketing officer, Family Dollar has announced that it named Colin McGinnis to the position of senior vp/store operations support, store development and procurement. He will report to Barry Sullivan, executive vp/store operations, Family Dollar noted. McGinnis joined Family Dollar in August, 2004 as a regional vp, where he acted as operations lead on the development of the Store of the Future project, the retailer stated. In 2006, Family Dollar named him vp/store operations support and process improvement. McGinnis recently added responsibility for store services, procurement and store development, the company related. "Over the last several years, we have expanded our assortment to be more relevant to our customers, and we have improved our store standards to make our stores easier to shop,” Sullivan said in a statement on the management change. “Through Colin's leadership and store operations experience, we intend to improve how we take care of our stores and our team members.” Tags: Housewares Cookware & Bakeware Health & Personal Care Home Décor Home Environment Organization & Cleaning Tabletop Gadgets & Kitchen Tools Retail |
