Siliconezone by Karim Cup Tree

At the New York International Gift Fair, to be held from January 26-30, Siliconezone will feature its first sink organizational product line. The line is developed in partnership with designer Karim Rashid.

Siliconezone by Karim will feature theme colors of white, gray and light blue, and will feature a total of 10 items.

"This is Siliconezone's first time developing sink products. It is a new offering from us to the marketplace, and we are very excited at the reaction so far,” said Ken Yeung, owner and president of Siliconezone.

“Nice design shouldn’t be only for showing, but it should apply to our daily life, even just a small item like a sink strainer… and we all love something a bit different,” said Rashid.

The Siliconezone by Karim line includes a Cup Tree that features nine prongs on three well-separated levels to allow the user to leave washed mugs, cups and glasses to air dry. Each prong features a silicone cap so that it is ideal for fragile items. The Cup Tree’s weighted base adds stability to the structure, while the rimmed base helps catch any excess water. It has a suggested retail price of $39.

Also available in the Siliconezone by Karim line is a foldable dish rack, sink roll, paper towel holder, scrub brush, dustpan and brush set, sink strainer, soap dispenser and sink mat.

For more on the Siliconezone by Karim sink organizational line, see HomeWorld’s January 7, 2013, issue. In this issue, HomeWorld also previews the upcoming Atlanta Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.
