Amazon Opening First Of Two New Bay Area Fulfillment Centers Tuesday January 22nd, 2013 - 11:39AM

Today, Amazon stated that it would open a new 1 million-square-foot, state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Tracy, CA. The company said the initiative would create hundreds of full-time jobs with benefits at the site, which lies east of Oakland and the San Francisco Bay Area. Amazon opened its first California fulfillment center in California in San Bernardino during October 2012. The company also is constructing a site in Patterson, CA, east of San Jose, slated to open in summer 2013, it noted.
