More personal care buyers and exhibitors plan to attend the 2013 International Home + Housewares Show, March 2 to 5 at McCormick Place in Chicago, stated the event’s host, the International Housewares Association. The personal care category is an element of the show’s Wired + Well Expo, which occupies McCormick’s Lakeside Center Building.

Personal care exhibitors joining the show in 2013 are Cortex International, FHI Heat, Inc., Eva NYC, Nature Bright Company and Professional Beauty Supply, IHA noted. Among those returning in 2013 are Remington and parent Spectrum Brands. The new and renewed will join long-time exhibitors including Andis, Conair, Emjoi, Epilady, Helen of Troy, Panasonic, Verilux, VIOlight and Wahl who, along with other exhibitors, will debut a variety of new products. In addition, IHA asserted, an increasing number of personal wellness suppliers will participate in the Housewares Show including Oregon Scientific, OSIM International Ltd, Premier Accessory Group and Veridian Healthcare, supplier of the iBaby, iHealth and SmartHeart brands.

Phil Brandl, IHA president, noted, “More than 2,000 personal care buyers from mass, supermarket, chain drug, department stores and specialty channels will be on hand to review the latest product innovations.”

In detailing show development, IHA quoted Gerald Rubin, Helen of Troy chairman, president and CEO as saying,  “We look forward to meaningful strategic discussions with our many retailer partners during the Housewares Show. This show sets the stage for our growth with these partners.”

The organization also quoted Ron Diamond, Conair Corp. president, as stating,  “At the Housewares Show, we see the broadest range of retail customers from many channels. We are looking forward to each meeting as an opportunity to better understand our retailer partner’s needs.”

IHA also conveyed from Rich Cronin, director, Wellness Division, Panasonic: "The International Home + Housewares Show is not only a traditional showcase event for introducing new products, but it is also a gathering of the senior decision makers from major retailers and key media.”
