Global Cutlery USA, a division of Scanpan USA, has named award-winning chef and television personality Ludo Lefebvre the brand’s first official brand ambassador in the U.S.
“We are very excited about teaming up with Chef Ludo,” said Jesper Brund, CEO and president of Scanpan USA. “The authenticity and attention to detail of Ludo’s extraordinary culinary work mirrors how Global approaches its knife production in Japan. Ludo is one-of-a-kind whose vision bridges the classic with an entirely unique perspective, consistent with Komin Yamada’s visionary Global knife design.”
Lefebvre has been a Los Angeles-based chef for 20 years. His restaurants include Trois Mec, Petit Trois and Trois Familia and the food truck LudoBird. A second Petit Trois location is scheduled to open in 2017. He has also written two cookbooks and has appeared on PBS’ “Mind of a Chef,” and also produces and stars in “Ludo à la Maison,” a home cooking series currently distributed on foodandwine.com.
“I am so honored to partner with Global,” said Lefebvre. “I have collected Global knives for about 20 years now and have an amazing vintage collection and look forward to the new collections to come. I am truly humbled that Global has chosen me to represent them in the U.S.”
