HSN is celebrating all things culinary this spring with its interactive 24-Hour HSN Cooks event on Sunday, March 13. The program will also feature the launch of celebrity chef Anne Burrell and the premiere of HSN's first culinary series featuring chef Donatella Arpaia of the Food Network's Iron Chef, in an event called The Saturday Morning Market with Donatella. To debut on April 2, The Saturday Morning Market with Donatella will highlight a “farmer’s market” theme, the retailer said, and will be airing on the first Saturday of every month at 8-10 a.m. Arpaia will highlight in-season ingredients while showing customers how to incorporate them into recipes at home. The new series will also serve as a platform to introduce new celebrity chef partners and food brands to HSN. Chef and restaurateur Geoffrey Zakarian will kick-off the series on April 2, alongside Arpaia, with the debut of his latest cookbook, My Perfect Pantry. HSN will invite home cooks to tap into their inner chef and join chefs Curtis Stone, Robert Irvine and Eduardo Garcia, during HSN's bi-annual 24-Hour HSN Cooks event. For the first time, a selection of HSN customers will be chosen to join each chef on-air for a personal cooking lesson during the live event. Curtis Stone will be leading the first interactive cooking lesson at 10 a.m, followed by Robert Irvine at 12 p.m. and Eduardo Garcia at 5 p.m. Shoppers will also be able to shop exclusive items from chef Lorena Garcia's Lorena Bella Kitchen Collection. The event will also feature the launch of former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey, Art Smith, who will be introducing his Smartbowl system; food editor of ABC's Good Morning America, Sara Moulton, who will be preparing recipes from her latest cookbook Sara Moulton's Home Cooking; and chef and restaurateur, Graham Elliot, who will debut his cookbook Cooking Like a Master Chef. HSN is also adding to its celebrity chef roster with the launch of Food Network star Anne Burrell on March 18. Anne Burrell's Corvex Collection on HSN features a line of professional, chef-grade cookware with a double coated ceramic non-stick interior. In partnership with the Food Network's Chopped, HSN will also launch an exclusive line of Chopped branded kitchen tools on May 6 and 7, featuring chef and Chopped alum Marc Murphy, who will educate consumers on how to use the products while sharing exclusive recipes. "This spring we are excited to introduce new chefs, innovative brands and an all new culinary series, The Saturday Morning Market with Donatella, that will inspire our customers to challenge their comfort zones while educating them on the latest in culinary trends," said Allyson Holt, vp/culinary and food, HSN. "We are also thrilled to host another interactive 24-Hour Cooks event that will incorporate our customers into the fun."
