Ameriwood Launches New Juvenile Furniture Line

HIGH POINT, NC— Ameriwood headed to the Fall High Point Market with new initiatives to debut, but among the biggest was one aimed at the smallest, Little Seeds.

Ameriwood launched both the juvenile brand and product line in High Point, introducing a new line that complements the earlier introduction of nursery and toddler-focused products branded under the Cosco label, which it brought over from a sister Dorel division focused on products such as car seats and strollers.

Little Seeds, however, takes aim at Millennials, said Steve Wahrhaftig, Ameriwood vp/product development, who tend to be value shoppers in more ways then one. Ameriwood devised the brand to support kids from birth through the length of their younger years.

Shoppers can add items from the line as kids get older and needs change, so they can purchase what and when they need and without having to scrap a room full of furniture as a child enters a new life stage.

Furniture available from Little Seeds range from a changing table topper, suggested retail price $59.99, to children’s beds, which can go for $299 at retail.

To make the label more socially attractive, Little Seeds launched with charitable tie ins including a program which  encourages schools to participate in efforts to save the monarch butterfly.

“Millennials shoppers are really into giving back to charity,” Wahrhaftig said.

Little Seeds, in modern to transitional styling, launched with three collections, the gender neutral Rowan Valley, offering combinations of stipple white, gray and black in the finishes, the more traditionally feminine Monarch Hill, combining the stipple white base finish with pink and gold touches, and Sierra Ridge, which complements a base saint walnut finish with elements of white in many pieces and, establishing a two-toned look.
