Best Buy Launches Smart Home Display

Best Buy has launched Tech Home, a hands-on merchandising display of smart home devices, at Minnesota’s Mall of America.

According to the retailer, the smart home space showcases connected devices and appliances in a kitchen, living room, bedroom, office space and entryway.

On display for the first time is the Netgear Orbi whole home WiFi system, which is said to promote smart home functionality by livening up dead spots in the home and supporting connectivity no matter where a user is in the home or what device is being used.

The smart home initiative also features Samsung’s SmartThings, which connects and organizes different devices in one platform, the ecobee 3 smart thermostat and smart lighting and security options.

Best Buy’s Tech Home is open to the public, free and will be located in the Mall of America rotunda through September 17, 2016.
