Bissell is expanding its focus on pet related home products with the launch of its BarkBath portable dog bath system exclusively on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.
According to the company, more than three years went into development, and it is the company’s first portable bath system. It features specially designed nozzles and a soft suction said to pull dirt and water into a separate dirty water tank. It is said to use only 48-ounces of water to clean dogs weighing 80-plus pounds.
“Bissell is always on the hunt to create the next product that helps with being a pet parent,” said Chuck Martin, general manager of innovation, Bissell. “Bath time can be a huge pain point for both the pet and the pet parent. If we can make pet clean up easy, more pets will be adopted.”
The BarkBath also includes a microfiber mat, a microfiber hand towel and a storage bag. Available accessories include a de-shedding brush and nail clippers.
In addition, because the product is new to the marketplace, online resources have been created to guide pet owners through best practices, the company said.
The Bissell BarkBath system will be available to early backers for $89.
