BlenderBottle Recalls Whiskware Glass Dressing Shaker

BlenderBottle has issued a voluntary recall of its Whiskware Glass Dressing Shaker. The bottom of the glass bottle can break when the metal agitator strikes the glass bottom, posing a laceration hazard.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has received 12 reports of the bottom of the glass shakers breaking. No injuries have been reported. Approximately 48,000 were sold in the U.S., and about 800 in Canada.

The Whiskware Glass Dressing Shaker has a white plastic combination lid and pour spout and an internal stainless steel, round wire agitator used to mix the shaker’s contents. Whiskware and a volume measurement scale are written in white letters on the side of the glass bottle. Only glass shakers that measure 8.7 inches tall by about three inches in diameter and hold 2.5 cups of liquid are included in the recall. The shaker was sold between July 25, 2016, and January 20, 2017 at specialty and online retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon.

If a consumer owns a Whiskware Glass Dressing Shaker, he or she can return it or request a replacement through BlenderBottle for two Whiskware Tritan Dressing Shakers.
