Bon-Ton has launched a buy online, pick up in-store service across the company’s seven retail brands and corresponding websites.
According to the retailer, shoppers are now able to see in-store availability of all merchandise and select the items they want to pick up in-store and those products they would like to have shipped. The service is available in all product categories, including apparel, shoes, accessories, cosmetics and soft and hard home goods.
After placing an order, shoppers are contacted via e-mail or text confirming the order is ready for pick-up. The Bon-Ton has implemented a four-hour processing standard, which company officials said allows consumers to pick up items at their convenience.
“We continue to enhance our company’s omnichannel capabilities to better serve our customers,” said Kathryn Bufano, president and CEO for The Bon-Ton Stores. “Buy online, pick up in-store, will make shopping easier and more convenient for our customers.”
The Bon-Ton Stores operates department stores under several brands including Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers.
