NEW YORK— Bunn has expanded its assortment of coffeemakers with the debut of a new unit that the company touts as a professional grade home brewing system.
Launched in late October exclusively at Williams-Sonoma, the new coffeemaker is equipped with Heat & Release technology to deliver a consistently smooth, flavorful cup of coffee, according to the company. It is also said to heat water to a brewing temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit, then releases the water through a six-stream sprayhead that showers hot water evenly over the coffee grounds.
The new coffeemaker also features advanced temperature control and the company’s exclusive 10-cup drip-free carafe. The auto-start feature is said to allow brew time to be set in advance and an indicator alerts the user when the unit needs cleaning.
“We design all our equipment to deliver the best taste results,” said Hy Bunn, president and CEO, Bunn. “We engineered this newest home model for people who want to savor their coffee, whether navigating the morning commute or hosting family and friends for a relaxing meal.”
The new coffeemaker has also been certified by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) as capable of brewing a “Golden Cup.” According to the SCAA, a brewer receives certification if it meets a series of requirements that are based generally on proper water temperature, brewing time, and ability to brew within the SCAA Golden Cup recommendations.
The new coffeemaker is also offered with a three-year warranty supported by the company’s customer service center located in Springfield, IL.
