Cangshan Cutlery has debuted the TC Series of cutlery. The lineup is a result of a partnership with Sandvik, a steel manufacturer in Sweden.
The TC Series of knives features Swedish Sandvik 14C28N steel, which is said to be a high-alloy, fine grained steel that can be heat treated to a hardness rating of 59 +/- 2 HRC without the common issues of brittleness in the blade.
“Cangshan knives made with Sandvik steel can be sharpened to a precise, keen Asian style, 16 degree angle while having exceptionally longer edge retention. Cangshan knives forged and handcrafted from the Swedish Sandvik 14C28N steel are sharper out of the box and have an edge that will stay sharp longer than comparable knives on the market,” said Henry Liu, president, Cangshan Cutlery Company.
The new selection of single piece knives and knife combinations are available in a new walnut wood knife block set that includes an essential 8-inch chef’s knife and 3.5-inch paring knife. The chef’s knife with a sheath has a suggested retail price of $99.95, while the larger combination sets have a suggested retail price from $179.95 to $750.
