Lina Hu, chairman and CEO of Clipper Corporation, was recently named a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 Greater Los Angeles Region award. She was given the award at a reception in June.
The awards, according to the EY organization, were designed to recognize entrepreneurs in more than 145 cities and 60 countries who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
Hu founded Clipper in 1994. The company has grown into three separate divisions that specialize in uniforms, food service supplies and branded housewares products, including Viking and AllRecipes cookware.
“Without the dedication and support of our customers, we don’t have a business. And without our employees’ passion, loyalty and the care they put into serving our customers, we don’t have a business,” Hu said. “Our employees have helped us realize our goals and allowed us to deliver on our unwavering commitment to bring our customers the most innovative and highest quality products at the lowest possible price. Our employees combined with our customers are the driving force of our business and the reason we continue to succeed.”
