The Companion Group will feature a virtual reality experience in its booth at the National Hardware Show, held in Las Vegas next month, to help promote its new line of all-natural insect repellents, Not In My Backyard.
According to the company, it worked with a VR movie production company to produce the experience, which is said to demonstrate the difference between Not In My Backyard repellents versus other traditional insect repellents.
“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We thrive on being first to market, we love being able to design products and packaging, and we’re constantly pushing ourselves to create something no one has ever seen,” said Chuck Adams, Companion Group CEO. “Virtual reality feels like a logical extension of that mindset.”
The new repellent line, also called Nimby, features all-natural products said to use bug-repelling inserts made of essential oils, including geraniol, eucalyptus and lemongrass. It is said to be safe and effective for kids and adults, and includes wristbands, clips, zappers, candles and diffusers. The line is now available through major sales channels.
