Jeff Brotman, 75, co-founder and chairman of the board for Costco Wholesale Corporation, died on Tuesday, August 1.
The retailer, in a statement, did not provide specifics on the cause of death.
According to Reuters, Brotman along with James Sinegal founded Costco in 1983. He had served as chairman since 1994.
