Crane Releases Humidifier & Steam Inhaler Combination

CHICAGO— Crane is highlighting its new 2-in-1 humidifier and steam inhaler at the International Home + Housewares Show, here, and will also showcase its growing array of smart home environment appliances.

The 2-in-1 humidifier features warm mist technology, which is said to relieve coughs, colds and flu symptoms including nasal congestion, sinus irritation, nose bleeds and dry skin. It is suitable to humidify up to 250-square feet, and includes a removable 0.5-gallon tank, which is said to run whisper quiet for up to 8 hours while misting 1.8 gallons of moisture per fill.

The unit also features Clean Control antimicrobial material in the base, which is said to help reduce mold and bacteria growth, and an auto-off function that activates when the water tank is empty.

The humidifier converts into a personal steam inhaler, which the company said is a non-medicated alternative to over the counter cough and cold medicines. The steam outlet is 131-degrees, which is said to ensure a germ free mist.

The humidifier/steam inhaler does not require a filter and is BPA free. It carries an MSRP of $49.99.

The company will also present its smart line of appliances, which includes its smartTower heater, infrared smartHeater, smartDrop humidifier and smartAir purifier. Each unit in the line can be controlled remotely through the company’s Crane app, and carry MSRP’s ranging from $169.99 to $249.99.

In addition, Katie Sotor, vp/sales and marketing for Crane, noted that the company’s personal humidifier has experienced a surge in demand, and will also be offered.

The personal humidifier features ultrasonic cool mist, which is said to relieve coughs, colds, flu symptoms, nasal congestion and sinus irritation, and Clean Control antimicrobial material in the base.

The unit includes a .25-gallon removable tank, variable mist output dial with 360-degree mist nozzle and auto-off function. The unit is also FDA registered, BPA-free and does not require a filter. It carries an MSRP of $29.99.
