DeLonghi Broadens Home Environment Assortment

CHICAGO— DeLonghi will be launching new home environment appliances as well as expanding on existing lines at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.

In cooling, the company is set to launch the newest version of its Pinguino line, the Pinguino Ex. The 14,000-BTU portable air conditioner is a premium unit with an updated look, said to offer consumers a sleek design for modern homes.

The unit includes 3-in-1 functionality, including portable air conditioning, dehumidification and fan only functions. It also features bio-silver filters said to remove impurities from the air, which are said to be easy to remove and simple to clean and maintain.

The air conditioner also includes No Drip technology and an auto evaporation function said to prevent leakage, and Whisper Cool technology that allows the unit to quietly cool, making it suitable for bedrooms and living rooms.

The unit includes a full-function remote control and a front-facing display, which allows users to change settings when the unit’s remote control is not handy. The display also features a dimming function for less light.

The Pinguino Ex portable air conditioner will be available in April 2017 and carries a suggested retail price of $599.95.

The company will also have on display several new heater appliances. For example, the HSX Slim Style full room panel heater is a convection heater featuring a sleek and thinner, 3-inch design.

The 1,500-watt heating power lends itself to larger rooms such as dining rooms and entertaining spaces. It features exclusive hi-fi technology that is said to provide better distribution into the room using a double fan system.

The heater also features an exclusive eco-function, which allows for optimal energy consumption that is said to guarantee the correct level of comfort. It includes a button to regulate power flow and temperature level and wall mount kit. It will be available in August and carry a suggested retail price of $99.95.

The company will also launch a new line of SafeHeat ceramic heaters, designed to be portable and compact for heating smaller spaces such as dorm rooms and offices. The 1,500-watt heaters are said to provide the same power as larger units and able to heat up in seconds, providing instant, precise heat.

The unit’s Safe Heat function automatically shuts the heater off and sounds an alarm if it is accidentally tipped over. The line also includes two-level power adjustments, with adjustable thermostat and summer fan settings, and is said to operate quietly.

The SafeHeat heaters are available in dark gray or white colors, and will be available in August with a suggested retail price of $39.95.

In terms of dehumidifying, the company is launching the DEX-16F premium compact dehumidifier. The unit is suitable for laundry rooms and bathrooms, and can also be used on boats and RV’s.

The dehumidifier features air filtration functions, and is said to eliminate dust particles and odors in moist, compact spaces. The compact dehumidifier is also said to help with drying clothes and eliminating odors from damp wash loads.

The unit features an auto restart function, which allows users to leave the unit on for continuous periods of time, and sensor touch controls that respond to user preferences and allow users to customize.

In addition, it features multiple options for emptying the collected water with both a tank and drain option. The dehumidifier will be available in July, and carries a suggested retail price of $199.95.
