According to eMarketer, the holiday season, which it defines as November and December, should see a 3.3% growth in overall sales and a 17.2% growth in e-commerce sales.
The market research firm added that retail e-commerce sales will increase to $94.71 billion, representing 10.7% of total holiday retail sales, the largest proportion ever, according to the company.
Overall, eMarketer projects holiday spending to reach $884.5 billion.
