Walmart gave consumers a look at its Black Friday specials on Thursday in a sneak peek on its app. On Friday, the retailer then posted the circular on its website.
Unlike a similar Black Friday preview offered recently by JC Penney through its app where housewares was given prime positioning, Walmart led its circular with home electronics.
The world’s biggest retailer featured a host of housewares among the Black Friday specials but without the $4 and $5 electrics specials seen in previous years.
A “Special Buy” $9.76 promotion includes a 5-quart Crock-Pot slow cooker, 11-inch Farberware skillet, Black + Decker 12-cup programmable coffeemaker, Black + Decker nonstick griddle, Black + Decker blender, Farberware 1.5-liter fryer and Better Homes and Gardens 21-piece Prep and Store set.
Other specials included a Farberware digital 6-quart pressure cooker and Farberware air fryer for $39 each, The Pioneer Woman 27-piece porcelain enamel nonstick cookware set for $89 and T-Fal 18-piece ceramic nonstick cookware set for $49.
Floor care specials were highlighted by a Black + Decker robot vacuum, a “Special Buy” at $196. Also featured was the Dyson V6 Slim cordless vacuum for $196, Shark Navigator Lift-Away pro vacuum for $98, Bissell ProHeat carpet cleaner for $88, Hoover T-Series WindTunnel rewind vacuum for $44 and Black + Decker Airswivel upright vacuum for $28.
Throughout the circular, Walmart encouraged consumers to “shop all day and night on walmart.com or with the Walmart app.”
