Emile Henry Presents New Oven-To-Table Designs

CHICAGO— In addition to celebrating its 25th anniversary in the U.S. market this year, Emile Henry is also bringing an array of new, oven-to-table looks to the market. The company will present its new cookware and bakeware offerings at the International Home + Housewares Show, here.

Emile Henry is expanding its color line with the debut of Flint. The deep yet luminescent gray has touches of green to add warmth to minimalist décor and softens bold, colorful rooms and tables, the company said. Emile Henry is launching a pitcher as well as bakeware and kitchenware in the new color.

The new brioche dish from Emile Henry is designed to bake a puffed brioche. This baking dish— available in either burgundy or the new cream color called clay— absorbs, distributes and retains heat evenly so breads bake and brown, the company said. The durable, hand-applied glaze will not chip, crack or craze over time and it will not absorb odors or flavors, according to the company, and it is also dishwasher and freezer to oven safe. The new Emile Henry brioche dish retails for $50.

The company will also debut a Faitout, a modern version of the traditional French one-pot casserole. This cook pot is designed for the stovetop, the oven and the table.

Made in France from burgundy clay, the pot ensures that heat is diffused evenly, cooks gently and maintains an optimal temperature throughout a meal, according to Emile Henry. The upturned rim is designed to avoid spills during cooking or drips while serving. This Flame ceramic pot can be used on all heat sources including gas, halogen, electric and induction with an induction disk, the company said, and it can be hand-washed or placed in the dishwasher. The Faitout is available in burgundy and charcoal colors and retails for $100.

Emile Henry will also introduce three sizes of terrines to the American market. A terrine refers to an oblong, ceramic casserole dish with straight sides and a lid and is designed to cook layers of chopped meats and vegetables and to freeze desserts made of ice cream, custards, fruits and gelatins, the company said.

These terrines are made of burgundy clay and the hand-applied glaze will not chip, crack or craze over time, said the company. The terrines are dishwasher and freezer to oven safe as well.

The 6-inch and 8-inch terrines have a suggested retail price of $50 and are available in both burgundy and flour colors. The 9.5-inch terrine will be available in burgundy, flour and oak colors and retails for $60.
