CHICAGO— EpiladyUSA Inc. expanded its assortment of epilators with the launch of three new hair removal tools at the recent International Home + Housewares Show, here.
The launch included the company’s new Cosmos and Briza hair removal tools, as well as the fifth generation of its Esthetic epilator line. The company also presented its recently launched Drop epilator at the show.
The Cosmos epilator features a full-size epilating head and the company’s signature perfect angle guide cap, which is designed for sensitive areas such as face, bikini and underarms. It is also suitable for hair removal on the legs and body.
The personal care appliance features 28 naturally hypoallergenic, stainless, metal-to-metal tweezer sets, for a total of 56 tweezer discs, which is said to provide up to 70,000 tweezes per minute.
The unit includes one operating speed specifically designed for delicate areas or finer hair and another operating speed for coarse body hair. The epilator is rechargeable with up to 40 minutes of use, and also includes a dual-voltage power cord.
The epilator also includes two trimmers for precision trimming or pre-epilation trimming of long hair, a foil shaver for a smooth shave and cleaning brush.
The Briza epilator is designed to remove coarser facial hair, and is suitable for touch-ups. It can be used on the bikini line, underarms and behind the knees or on sensitive areas that may be too sensitive for a full-sized epilator, suggested the company. It is also battery-operated and suitable for on-the-go use.
The Esthetic generation 5 epilator
is designed with Epilady’s coil-epilation system, which is said to provide quick and easy removal of fine facial hair by the roots.
“We took all the feedback we received from our customers over the past five years, who used the earlier version, and made some design and engineering changes, such as making the motor stronger, the coil tighter and elongating the battery cover in the back,” said Amir Abileah, vp/Epilady. “Seemingly small changes, but they are already proving to be well-received by the users.”
In addition, at the Housewares Show the company showcased its Wet/Dry Drop Rechargeable epilator, which was the recipient of this year’s Housewares Design Award Best in Category for Personal, Health & Garment Care.
The Drop is the company’s third wet/dry epilator and was designed for added convenience. For example, it features a relatively large design, at 5.5-inches in length, tapered shape and silicone outer ring to make it easier for consumers to grasp and use in a wet environment.
The Drop also includes a loop for hanging storage and a charging stand that allows it to be kept on a bathroom counter, which, according to Abileah, “takes the Epilady Drop out of the closet and into the light.”
