CHICAGO— Essenergy is expanding its VitaClay-branded assortment of slow cookers with the debut of its 6-quart Smart Multi-Crock n’ Stock Pot, which will be on display here at the International Home + Housewares Show.
Developed with organic unglazed clay, VitaClay slow cookers are said by the company to provide a healthy cooking option that enhances flavors, stabilizes food textures and increases nutrient bio-availability.
Offering cooking times that are as much as four times faster than traditional slow cookers, entire meals can be ready in less than an hour, the company said.
For families on the go, the “Set and Forget” feature allows up to 10 hours of cooking time with a delay timer and automatic warm setting.
“Home cooks desire kitchen appliances that add value to their lives,” said Michelle Liu, CEO and chief inventor at Essenergy, Inc. “We’ve designed the VitaClay line to address the needs of busy, health-conscious consumers of all ages and stages of life.”
The new 6-quart unit allows home cooks to make a variety of dishes that include chili, stew, bone broth, hot cereal, steamed vegetables or fish and soup. A low-temperature setting option allows items such as probiotic-rich creamy yogurt, Greek yogurt or yogurt cheese to be made at home.
Free recipe books are included with each slow cooker offering a variety of globally inspired stock-based recipes.
