Fagor Adds Eclipse Induction Cooktop Set

LYNDHURST, NJ— Fagor America has expanded its assortment of induction cooktops with the debut of the Eclipse Induction Set.

The new offering includes a circular 1,800-watt portable induction cooktop and a 9.5-inch induction-ready aluminum skillet.

The cooktop features an 11.5-inch glass surface that is said by the company to be easy to clean and includes touch controls and a temperature range of 140° Fahrenheit to 462° Fahrenheit.

Also included is an automatic safety shut off feature, a built-in countdown timer aand a panel lock button said to provide added safety. The unit also offers a digital display and three preset functions that include brown, boil and warm.

“Making significant upgrades to our ever-popular induction cooktop helps to keep Fagor at the forefront of innovation,” said Sara De La Hera, vp/sales and marketing for Fagor America. “Our Eclipse Induction Set makes induction cooking very simple and is an excellent introduction to the benefits of this technology.”

According to the company, induction cooking uses 90% of the energy produced and is said to provide precise and instant heating that allows food to be cooked up to 50% faster than gas or electric cooktops. The energy from the induction cooktop is directly supplied to the cookware by a magnetic field, causing a warming reaction in the bottom of the cookware rather than the cooktop itself. The cooktop requires the use of induction compatible cookware such as enamel, cast iron or stainless steel with a ferromagnetic bottom.

Suggested retail price for the Eclipse Induction Set is $129.95.
