Fagor America’s Lux LCD multi-cooker has been selected by Cook’s Illustrated magazine as “Best” in the multi-cooker segment.
According to Cook’s Illustrated, the unit’s pressure cook and slow cook functions produced even, properly cooked food while the rice function produced similar results with numerous styles of rice.
In testing a variety of one-pot multi-cookers, Cook’s Illustrated pressure cooked and slow cooked 100 pounds of beef/poultry and 20 pounds of beans twice in each in addition to testing white rice and brown rice while tracking temperatures and pressure levels. Also tested was sautéing/browning functions of all units.
The Lux multi-cooker is offered in three sizes— 4-quart, 6-quart and 8-quart– and is equipped with a self-locking lid, automatic pressure release setting and two independent pressure control valves.
