The First Look trend presentation set for the Summer Las Vegas Market will showcase four central themes: Modern Traditions; Casual/Outdoor: Water Signs; Bedroom: iGgen; and Handmade.
Las Vegas Market exhibitors can submit related products, including furniture, home décor and gift items, by May 25 for consideration in the First Look presentation including the at-market display and publication. The trends are:
- Modern Traditions. Modern and transitional dining furniture, tabletop, holiday décor and decorations, including wrapping paper, ornaments and related merchandise, as they play a role in family, dining, holiday and seasonal celebrations.
- Casual/Outdoor: Water Signs. Casual lounge looks that showcases watery blues and bright whites across such categories as outdoor furniture, beach towels, portable umbrellas, all-weather dinnerware, beachwear, totes and sunglasses.
- Bedroom: iGen. Recognition of Generation Z and the preferences of young digital natives who are entrepreneurial, responsible, compassionate, competitive and curious, and whose propensities suggest an attraction to unisex bedroom furniture and related merchandise.
- Handmade. With an emphasis on creativity and handiwork, merchandise produced by global artisans suggests how the personal touch provides authenticity that remains a popular selling point.
“Las Vegas Market is the industry’s foremost resource for directional trends,” said Dorothy Belshaw, IMC president of gift leasing and chief marketing officer. “Our always-inspiring First Look program not only forecasts macro trends but also showcases practical applications for each concept.”
The Las Vegas Market will be held from July 30 to August 3.
