Fitbit has appointed Adam Pellegrini as vp/digital health, beginning September 6.
In this new role, Pellegrini will be responsible for leading Fitbit’s vision, strategies and programs to further drive the company’s integration into health care systems. In addition, he is tasked with helping Fitbit connect its products, information, data and insights in clinical settings. He will also focus on developing new partnerships with health care systems, insurers and other payers, pharma companies and medical device manufacturers.
Pellegrini brings more than 20 years of experience across multiple sectors of the health care industry including providers, insurers, health technology and non profits. He joins Fitbit from Walgreens Boots Alliance, where he was vp/digital health.
“We believe that Fitbit can play a meaningful role in the digital health revolution, and Adam is the ideal person to lead our efforts. He brings tremendous experience, leadership and vision to help us further develop and integrate our tools into health care, including areas such as behavior change programs, chronic care management, population screening, precision medicine and remote monitoring for post discharge and care transitions,” said Woody Scal, chief business officer of Fitbit.
