Fitbit has introduced two new fitness tracker wristbands and released a new immersive Adventures challenge.
The new fitness wristbands, Charge 2 and Flex 2, track health and fitness stats. The Fitbit Charge 2 features an enhanced exercise experience with new health and fitness tools, smart notifications and a new design with larger display and interchangeable bands, the company said. Features include heart rate tracking, personalized cardio fitness level and score, guided breathing sessions, multi sport modes, and interval workout mode.
Flex 2 is an ultra-slim, swim-proof fitness wristband that features accessory options. It includes SmartTrack automatic exercise tracking including swimming and reminders to move notifications.
The Fitbit Charge 2 and Flex 2 are currently available at online retailers and will be available at brick-and-mortar retailers in September and October. The Charge 2 has a suggested retail price of $149.95 and the Flex 2 carries an MSRP of $99.95.
Fitbit has also launched Adventures, a new series of personal, non-competitive activity challenges that are designed to inspire users to move more and reach health and fitness goals. Every Adventure has single and multi-day trails that are the same distance as they would be in real life, including Yosemite National Park and the New York City Marathon. Each morning users are challenged to reach a new destination along the trail. Each trail features landmark locations as users progress toward their destination, and users can uncover and collect hidden treasures along the way, including fun facts about the adventure, health and fitness tips and mini challenges.
