Flatware Brings Contemporary Forms & Finishes To The Table

Flatware designs at the New York Tabletop Market will bring to the table offerings in distinct textures and finishes, offered in clean, sleek, contemporary forms. Styles made with a design nod toward natural materials will also be present in showrooms.

GIBSON

Gibson is debuting a variety of flatware options under its Laurie Gates brand, with styles ranging from vintage to contemporary looks. Led by Gates, Gibson’s creative team developed new flatware made with materials designed to look like wood and shell, such as Laurie Gates’ Davos pattern, as well as styles with features like hammered and embossed finishes.

HAMPTON FORGE

Skandia’s Refined Copper is a new pattern featured in 18/0 titanium plated copper, which is dishwasher safe. It is available in a five-piece place setting or a 20-piece set.

LENOX

Lenox’s 18/10 Skylar flatware takes inspiration from a piece of mid-century artwork, and features the visual effect of stained glass rendered in stainless steel, with three different finishing treatments. Under its Dansk brand, Anders features a different textural design on each handle size.

LIFETIME BRANDS

Lifetime Brands’ Mikasa Lilah flatware features an elongated and sleek silhouette with oversized hammering covering each piece. Crafted of 18/10 stainless steel, this 20-piece set has a suggested retail price of $89.99.

Wallace Bamboo Gold flatware features an exotic bamboo design that is fully plated in 18k gold over 18/10 forged stainless steel. The 20-piece set has a suggested retail price of $129.99.

ROBINSON HOME PRODUCTS

Robinson Home Products will present contemporary flatware under the Oneida brand, including modern shapes incorporating geometric and faceted designs, and minimal designs to keep looks simple for a more organic table.

Embracing the clean lines and elegant flow of contemporary design, Oneida’s Nouvel features a mirrored finish with a bead blast accent. Faceta offers crisp, cut gem-like lines, with a polished mirror finish. Elegant curves and a sleek profile define Lunette, which has a gracefully arched handle and a mirror-finish, while Miralles features subtle, linear detailing at the neck and end of the handle. Sleek and simply styled, Oneida’s Pearce features a reflective mirror finish and a squared-off shape.

All of the flatware is crafted from 18/10 stainless steel and available as a five-piece place setting for a suggested retail of $49.99 and a 20-piece set for $149.99. Oneida’s Pearce Lux features a brushed gold finish and has a suggested retail of $59.99 for a five-piece place setting or $179.99 for a 20-piece set.
