Fox Run Brands has acquired Tops Manufacturing Company, a vendor known for its coffee and tea accessories. Tops and its various housewares lines will now be sold by Fox Run.
Sean Leonard, CEO of Fox Run, said that he is excited to expand the company’s housewares offerings with the acquisition of Tops. Additionally, he explained that the similarities between the two companies was a key driver in the decision making process during the acquisition.
“Our vision and history are parallel. Both companies have been in business for more than 50 years and share a diverse customer base,” said Leonard.
Tops, which has been headquartered in Darien, CT, offers a range of coffee and tea accessories. The company’s coffee and tea lines include everything from coffee pots to tea strainers, noted Fox Run. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Fox Run has grown to more than 3,000 kitchenware, home entertaining and housewares product lines, according to the company. The company’s offerings include bakeware and BBQ grillware and a wide variety of food prep, coffee and tea products, woodenware and more. Housewares products are marketed under brand names such as Fox Run Kitchens, Outset, Ironwood Gourmet, Kitchen Art, Bakelicious and Nantucket Seafood Tools. Fox Run has also launched kitchenware brands such as Jarware and Suzie Q.
