GE Appliances’ entire connected suite of products, including its line of connected air conditioners, is now integrated with the Google Assistant enabled Google Home program.
Last year, GE Appliances integrated its connected appliances with Amazon’s Alexa using its Geneva skill. Now, with the Google Assistant integration, consumers can control their GE appliances by saying, for example, “Ok Google, ask Geneva Home to set the oven timer for 10 minutes,” which will tell the connected oven to set its timer.
“Everyone’s busy these days and our consumers are looking for simpler and more convenient ways to control their home, especially when busy in the kitchen or working around the house,” said Liz VerSchure, vp/GE Appliances, connected strategy. “Integrating our full suite of connected appliances with the Google Assistant makes it easier for owners to control their appliances and get on with their day.”
