Brookstone has appointed former Shopping Channel CEO Steven Goldsmith as its president and CEO.
Goldsmith led The Shopping Channel, a leading multi-channel retailer operating in Canada, from 2012 to 2016. He also served as evp/merchandising at Sears Canada from 2011 to 2012, and evp/Limited Brands Direct from 2007 to 2011.
In his new position, he will lead the company’s continued expansion with a focus on product development, retailer stores in the United States and China, and wholesale partnerships.
In 2016, Brookstone has opened 7 stores in China, including major shopping centers in Shanghai, Suzhou and Nanjing. Brookstone has also expanded its footprint among other retailers including Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond and Costco. The company said it will have key Brookstone-branded gifts sold in 300 Macy’s department store locations this holiday season.
