BROOKLYN— Kitchen electrics supplier Gourmia has debuted a selection of new smart home appliances that connect to Amazon’s popular Alexa technology along with Gourmia’s new mobile kitchen app.
At the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the company showcased several new appliances including a sous vide pod, sous vide self-contained circulating water oven, 8-in-1 digital multi-function cooker, fusion loose-tea maker, 10-cup automatic drip coffeemaker with built-in grinder and 9-in-1 air fryer and multicooker.
“Our new IoT-empowered mobile kitchen app is the perfect user-interface solution for limitless number of appliances and features,” said Sam Ash, Gourmia’s CMO. “The app effortlessly assists the cook in managing recipes, cooking, cooking safely, and even keeps track of every family member’s food and meal preferences.”
According to the company, Gourmia’s new app will connect to six of the company’s appliances allowing users to control each appliance remotely. This allows each unit to be turned on and off and to be monitored from another room in the home or in the office.
In addition, the app is also said to help manage recipes by allowing the user to plan meals, calculate the amount of calories in a meal and generate a grocery shopping list based on a given recipe. The app also offers safety features that allow the user to block usage of the appliance if adult supervision is not present.
Among the featured new kitchen electrics from Gourmia is its sous vide pod and sous vide circulating water oven. Company officials said the app assists in following professional recipes, monitors the cooking process and gives notice when the meal is ready. Users can control and monitor their devices from anywhere they can access the app.
When connected to the app, the 8-in-1 digital multi-function cooker allows for selection of a desired recipe, automatic programming and gives notice when meal is ready. This multicooker can be controlled from wherever its user can access the app, allowing users to start or stop their cooking process before they are home.
With the 10-cup automatic drip coffeemaker, Gourmia’s app allows one-touch remote usage as well as the ability to pre-set one or several brewing times and start the brewing process from anywhere, company officials said.
The app allows users of the 9-in-1 air fryer and multicooker to select and monitor the food being cooked and also receive notice when the cooking process is complete.
Rounding out the new assortment is the company’s loose-leaf tea maker. According to the company, the app allows for optimal utilization of the unit for every tea type. Users select the tea type and the mobile app automatically programs the unit accordingly.
