Amazon.com has launched its Black Friday Deals Store and more than a dozen curated holiday gift guides, as the company begins rolling out its holiday season promotions.
During the holidays, the company said it would launch new deals as often as every five minutes. The Black Friday Deals Store will include tens of thousands of deals through December 22, Amazon noted. The retailer will offer up to 20 Deals of the Day each day through December 22.
Gift guides include a presentation dedicated to home. The curated list of more than a thousand potential gifts focuses on recipient lifestyles and so includes housewares that might gratify cooks, bakers, home decorators, arts and crafters, smart home tech lovers, pet owners, backyard enthusiasts, kids and others. The guide also offers a product selection dedicated to holiday decorators and party planners. Customers also can shop trends, for example, copper appliances, rose gold cutlery and handmade ceramics, and new products.
Other gift guides include electronics, startups in the Amazon Launchpad program, and Handmade at Amazon.
Amazon has also installed features on its shopping app to help holiday-season customers, including one the company calls Where’s My Stuff, which allows for quick reference to preferred merchandise and visual searches. The app also allows users to track holiday bargains by setting watch-a-deal alerts all season long. In addition, and new for this holiday season, shoppers who own an iPhone can, beginning November 15, use Package X-Ray to see what’s in a box that has been delivered without opening it. Shoppers can scan the barcode by employing their camera icons within the mobile app to see what’s in the package.
“Customers love discovering the best deals on the most sought-after products, and our Black Friday Deals Store and curated Holiday Gift Guides offer them a place to do just that, plus enjoy the most convenient shopping experience with tons of super-fast shipping options,” said Doug Herrington, Amazon svp/North American retail.
