Entries are open for the 2018 Housewares Design Awards, presented by HOMEWORLD BUSINESS®.
The 13th Housewares Design Awards ceremony is set for Tuesday, January 30, 2018, during the Winter 2018 Las Vegas Market at the World Market Center Las Vegas.
The 2018 Housewares Design Awards will recognize excellence in 12 core housewares categories. This year’s competition introduces a special new Smart Home Award honoring smart home innovation. The 2018 ceremony also will present the second annual Design Influencer Of The Year Award to an exceptional individual or organization.
Since its inaugural ceremony in 2004, the Housewares Design Awards program has recognized 762 product finalists and bestowed “Best in Category” distinctions on 154 products.
“Many of the industry’s most successful and influential products have been honored with Housewares Design Awards, and we are proud to continue to provide a high-profile platform for recognizing the next generation of highly stylish and exceptionally practical housewares design innovations,” said Peter Giannetti, editor-in-chief of HomeWorld Business, which created the Housewares Design Awards in 2003.
“The addition of the Smart Home Award demonstrates how this important design competition reflects the dynamic progress of leading-edge housewares development,” Giannetti added.
“Best in Category” winners of the 2018 Housewares Design Awards will be announced and finalists will be recognized at the awards ceremony in Las Vegas on January 30, 2018. Each entry receives a free ticket to the awards ceremony.
Las Vegas Market is hosting the Housewares Design Awards ceremony for the second time while providing independent judging, operational and promotional support for the Housewares Design Awards competition.
“The awards are a perfect complement to Las Vegas Market’s growing gourmet product resources and our design-driven gift, home décor and furniture offerings,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of gift leasing and chief marketing officer, International Market Centers. “We’ve partnered with HomeWorld Business to add some exciting new elements to the 2018 event.”
