Umbra’s new Shift product line won the 2014 ICFF Editors Award for Best Accessories collection at the 26th annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair held at New York City¹s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. ICFF is a major North American showcase for contemporary design.
Umbra Shift is a collection that focuses on contemporary influences in the design community, the company noted. In winning the honor, Matt Carr, director of design at Umbra and Umbra Shift, and Tom Chung, creative lead, supervised a team of designers that included Harry Allen, Hlynur Atlason, MSDS, Philippe Malouin, Albert Lee, Lukas Peet, Fugitive Glue, Paul Loebach and Umbra Studio.
“It is great to be recognized by the ICFF on our inaugural launch”, Carr said in announcing the award win. “The last year and a half of collaboration and development has been very rewarding. Looking forward to new relationships with retailers, vendors and designers.”
