After earlier home decor groups began rolling out this winter, Ikea said it would launch a new Stockholm collection in April.
Ikea introduced its first Stockholm collection in 1984.
Each new collection differs from earlier ones, but they all share common characteristics including design that emphasizes Scandinavian modernity. Ikea develops Stockholm collections to specific form, function and materials standards but at affordable prices. Swedish light and nature were important sources of inspiration in designs and formulations, the company added.
The latest Stockholm introduction is a curated collection of 47 pieces. They are and made from natural and tactile materials such as rattan, hand-blown glass and ash.
