IMC Renews High Point TrendWatch Program

International Market Centers will hold its TrendWatch program at the upcoming Spring High Point Market, which runs from April 22 to 26.

The program provides market attendees with a look at leading trends in the home furnishings industry through an opening day seminar and three on-site displays. Trend forecaster, editor and curator Julie Smith Vincenti of Nine Muses Media directs the program.

IMC slated the free opening day seminar for 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 22, at the Suites at Market Square Seminar Room SAMS 1-1014. It will offer attendees a look at those trends that are the program’s current focus: Unbounded, with a bohemian influence; Transitions, a confluence of urban- and suburban-related sensibilities; and Verdure, which adopts green hues as generators of renewal and growth.

The TrendWatch displays will be featured in three of High Point properties. They are located in the Suites at Market Square lobby, the International Home Furnishings Center green lobby, and the walkway between IHFC and Showplace near the transportation terminal. Curated vignettes, the displays incorporate submissions made by market exhibitors.

“TrendWatch not only identifies cutting-edge trends that will ultimately direct the future of design, but it also highlights the incredible breadth of product offered at High Point Market,” said Karen Olson, svp/marketing for IMC. “For this spring market, we received the most submissions to date as momentum continues to grow for the popular program.”
