CHICAGO— Cooking and coffee are the focus for IMUSA in kitchen electrics as the company will showcase its electric pressure cooker and electric “Moka” espresso maker here at the International Home + Housewares Show.
The digital pressure cooker is equipped with a range of preset menu buttons for chicken, vegetables, meats, beans, rice, and risotto; with additional functions for sautéing, slow cooking, and warming. The unit also allows the user to adjust cook time and select a pressure setting of low, medium or high.
Offering a capacity of 5-quarts, the pressure cooker is designed with a tight lid seal said to trap in steam and heat, a cool-touch handle on the lid and non-slip rubber feet.
Also on display will be the company’s line of “Moka” espresso makers that features cool touch handles, a detachable base and a size selector for the user’s choice of three or six espresso cup servings.
Taking a mix-and-match approach, the top carafe is available in either a tinted or clear transparent plastic. To add some color to a kitchen, IMUSA is also offering a variety of bases in a range of colors including silver, red, blue, speckled, metallic, or even a wood-like-look.
