NEW YORK— More than a year after debuting an assortment of countertop dome ovens, Karrsen has expanded its assortment to include the new BR-Q Dome Oven Barbecue.
Scheduled to be in the company’s warehouse in January, the new patented barbecue product builds off Karrsen’s kitchen dome ovens, but adds a second heating element on the lower portion of the unit. The previous ovens were equipped with a heating element in the dome portion of the unit.
“The new barbecue units are designed to be used indoors and outdoors,” said Joey Ober, evp/Karrsen.
Offering 1,750-watts of power, the barbecue has an adjustable temperature range from 150° Fahrenheit to 640° Fahrenheit, company officials said.
Other features include Karrsen’s proprietary captive heat technology, an enamel coated grate that offers a cooking surface of 200-square inches and a painted exterior and an enamel-coated interior.
In addition, the barbecue is also designed to be used with four short legs on a tabletop or a large pedestal as a standing unit. No tools are needed for assembly and the unit comes with a two-year limited warranty, noted the company.
The tabletop only unit carries a retail price of $199 while the unit with pedestal is priced at $249.
