Kenmore has launched the Kenmore Elite Smart Room Air Conditioners line, allowing users to adjust home temperatures from a mobile device using the brand’s mobile app.
According to the company, the smart technology integrates wireless capabilities to provide operation flexibility, which can lead to energy and cost savings on utility bills. In addition, the app provides access to monitor efficiencies, turn units on and off and set schedules for up to seven days.
The line is also Amazon Alexa-enabled, allowing users to control the air conditioner’s temperature and power settings using voice-controlled technology on any Amazon Echo device, the company said.
“At Kenmore, we consistently strive to improve the lives of our members through stress-free solutions to every day issues,” said Tom Park, president of Kenmore, Craftsman and DieHard brands at Sears Holdings. “With rising temperatures around the country, the Kenmore brand’s smart room air conditioner line will make homeowners’ lives easier and more cost-effective by giving them control from their mobile device.”
The air conditioners are Energy Star certified and are available in a variety of sizes from 8,000 BTUs to 25,000 BTUs. The line is now available in select Sears stores nationwide and at the company’s website, and carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price range of $269.99 to $519.99.
