Kohl’s said it will hire more than 69,000 holiday workers for positions at its 1,100 stores and distribution and e-commerce fulfillment centers.
Hiring began in August and the retailer said most jobs are expected be filled by mid-November. Hiring levels at specific locations vary depending on the business needs of each facility.
“Whether looking to start a career in retail or make extra money for the holidays, Kohl’s is a great place to work with a culture of appreciation and opportunity,” said Ryan Festerling, Kohl’s evp/human resources. “Our seasonal associates help deliver amazing products, incredible savings and an easy experience to Kohl’s customers in our stores and online.”
Within the job descriptions for in-store and backroom positions included in the holiday hiring push, Kohl’s made specific mention that new associates will be— at least in part— working to fulfill orders placed through Kohls.com.
Kohl’s is the latest retailer to announce its holiday hiring plans. On September 12, Target said it would hire 70,000 seasonal employees.
