Kuhn Rikon has rolled out the Leafy Greens Zipper. The company stated the new kitchen tool can remove fibrous stems from leafy greens like kale, chard and collard greens.
The two razor sharp blades of the zipper cut on either side of a stem to remove it without damaging the leaves. The two stainless steel wheel blades can also cut through multiple tender leaves. This reduces prep time, suggested the company. The zipper also quickly prepares strips of greens for healthy salads or stir-fry.
The Kuhn Rikon Leafy Greens Zipper has a suggested retail price of $16. It will be available for shipping in July.
