Kyocera has launched its Premier Elite cutlery. The company stated that the ceramic blade is designed to provide strength and sharpness and it is decorated with a pattern reminiscent of a traditional Japanese Zen sand garden.
The cutlery design features a black Pakka wood handle with stainless steel rivets and bolster. The handle’s flat-sided oval shape was inspired by the shape of a Koban, an old Japanese gold coin, the company noted.
The collection includes a 3-inch paring knife, 4.5-inch utility knife, 5.5-inch Santoku knife, 6-inch Santoku knife and 7-inch chef’s knife. The Premier Elite Series come in a gift box, with suggested retail prices ranging from $139.95 to $299.95. The knives are available for immediate shipping.
