The Las Vegas Market is holding its seventh annual Global Goodness Awards, which recognize furniture, home décor and gift companies for environmentally friendly, sustainable and socially responsible business practices.
Submissions will be accepted through January 5, 2018. Global Goodness Awards will be bestowed upon one company in each of the market’s three major categories— furniture, home décor and gift— as well as one additional People’s Choice Award selected via social media, and announced at the winter Las Vegas Market, which will be held January 28 to February 1.
The Global Goodness Awards are open to all Las Vegas Market permanent and temporary exhibitors. Past award recipients are not eligible to apply. A panel of industry sustainability and social responsibility experts will review the entries and select one winner from each category.
The awards program supplements an ongoing partnership Las Vegas Market has with the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) to create One Good World, a guide to sustainable furniture and home décor products to help connect suppliers and retailers. The effort includes a sustainable products locator program showcasing relevant at-market resources, expanded educational offerings addressing issues and opportunities connected with sustainability.
