The Las Vegas Market is accepting entries for the fifth edition of its Global Goodness Award through Friday, January 8, 2016. The award recognizes furniture, gift and home décor companies for environmentally friendly, sustainable and socially responsible business practices.
In the 2016 edition, one company will be selected to receive a Global Goodness Award. In addition, the contest will sponsor a People’s Choice award.
Las Vegas Market tenants and exhibitors who wish to participate in the Global Goodness initiative can submit essays that describe their personal journey, outline the socially responsible products that they offer and detail how these products and the sourcing process have had a positive impact on people and communities throughout the world. Entrants can email their essays by the deadline to Cain Brodie at [email protected]. The essay should be 100 words or less. High-resolution photos at 300dpi, 5 inches by 7 inches should accompany and illustrate the essay.
The Global Goodness awards program is part of partnership between Las Vegas Market and the Sustainable Furnishings Council to create “One Good World,” a guide to sustainable furniture and home décor products that helps connect suppliers and retailers. Las Vegas Market showcases Fair Trade, sustainable and socially-responsible products and producers within the Handmade segment of The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, which houses temporary exhibitors, as well as in Discoveries: The Antique Vintage Marketplace, a presentation of ethnic handicrafts, vintage and antique merchandise.

The Las Vegas Market will take place January 24 to 28.
