L’Chef Introduces New Mixer And Blender

CHICAGO— L’Chef is expanding its assortment of kitchen electrics with the debut of a new mixer and blender along with new accessories for its Bosch Universal Plus mixer.

Among the featured appliances on display here at the International Home + Housewares Show will be a new mixer that is said by the company to offer performance that is similar to the company’s Bosch Universal Plus mixer.

Initially offered in a white plastic housing with more colors on the way, the unit carries a three-year warranty. Several attachments for the mixer are available and include a stainless steel bowl, large slicer shredder, pasta roller and cutters, ice cream maker, spiralizer, meat grinder with sausage stuffer, citrus juicer, cookie paddles, cake paddles and a bowl scraper.

“We wanted to offer a mixer at a lower pricepoint that would allow us to reach a larger number of consumers,” said Dennis Leavitt, L’Chef’s general manager. “We feel this unit is a great alternative to the other mixers currently on the market.”

Retail price is $249.

From its L’Equip brand, the company is debuting a new power blender. Utilizing smart technology, the unit utilizes Bluetooth technology that allow recipes used with the blender to be managed via a smartphone.

Other features include a timer, multiple pre-set functions, a DC “brushless” motor, a tamper stick, recipe book and blade cleaning brush. Offered with a 10-year warranty, the unit is MAP priced at $379.

“The inclusion of Bluetooth in the blender allows the user to program recipes,” Leavitt said. “This allows for less measuring and a better user experience.”

L’Chef is also premiering two accessories for its Bosch Universal Plus mixer— an ice cream maker and spiralizer that both have patents pending.

The ice cream maker is designed to fit inside the bowl of the Bosch mixer and uses ice and salt as part of the process instead of freezing the canister. The unit will produce approximately one quart of ice cream every 25 minutes. Offered with a one-year warranty, the ice cream maker is priced at $69.

The new spiralizer is designed to fit on top of the bowl of the Bosch mixer. Offered with three interchangeable blades that produce a variety of spiral cuts, the unit also carries a one-year warranty and is priced at $49.

“We are always looking for new types of accessories and attachments for use with the Bosch mixer,” Leavitt said. “The new attachments also add more functionality to the mixer.”
