The Libman Company has donated more than 700 of its heavy-duty cotton deck mops to aid the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, region’s flood relief efforts.
Libman said it is working with BREC, the parks and recreation agency of the Baton Rouge area, to get the brooms into the community. “The damage from this flash flooding is devastating and we want to provide some assistance to homeowners,” said Andrew Libman, president, Libman Company.
The effect of the August 13 flash flooding has left over 110,000 homes in the greater Baton Rouge area damaged in the flooding, and, according to the Red Cross, has been characterized as the worst U.S. natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
