Lodge Donation Supports Gatlinburg Wildfire Relief

Lodge Cast Iron has donated the proceeds from its 2016 Great Smoky skillet directly to families affected by the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, wildfires.

According to Lodge, the company creates a special Great Smoky Mountains skillet for its two factory stores in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, TN. This year, $15 from each sale of this limited edition 10.25-inch pan went to the Dollywood Foundation’s “My People Fund.” The skillet retails for $30.

The sale of the skillet was so popular, Lodge said on its Facebook page, that the company has manufactured more. The new batch goes on sale December 14 and those proceeds will also be donated to wildfire victims. The skillets are foundry seasoned, ready to use upon purchase and can be used on a variety of cooking surfaces, including camp fires.
