SEATTLE— Rosanna Inc. is showcasing its new spring and summer 2017 collections at the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market this week and at the upcoming NY Now market, to be held February 4 to 8 at the Javits Center.
The company’s spring collection is devoted to “love of all kinds,” according to the company, including loving your career, pets, friends, family, partner, baby or your next big adventure, suggested the company’s founder and art director, Rosanna Bowles.
She added, “Now more than ever we need love. It’s the thing that gets us through tough times, the thing that brings us together, and the thing that allows us to forgive. You can never have too many reminders and encouragements to love.”
For example, Rosanna’s All You Need Is Love gift boxed collection includes “Sis” and “Bro” mugs to celebrate family, “Dog mom” and “Cat mom” mugs celebrate pet parents, while “Just Married” and “Oh baby” are gifts for those sharing new love by entering into marriage or parenthood.
Within the All You Need Is Love assortment is the “Love is Love” line, featuring this message amongst marriage equality rainbow hearts on trays and mugs. A portion of sales of the Love is Love line will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union.
The You Go Girl collection pays tribute to feminism and also includes a Hillary Clinton quote mug and election debate-inspired Nasty Woman mug, as well as those celebrating accomplished women in science, technology, engineering and math, according to the company. A portion of each You Go Girl collection sale will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
“We thought about what we could do to give back to the community by doing what we do best— designing beautiful product while standing up for what we believe in: love, equality and empowerment,” Bowles added.
Rosanna’s Seven Sisters collection focuses on sisterly love, with brilliant flora on deep purple backgrounds and totes with gold-kissed rims. In addition, Glam Office features items intended to extend the sisterly love to the office with phrases such as “I’m not bossy, I’m the boss.”
With a nod to a consumer’s love of the next big adventure, Rosanna’s Paradise and Vacaciones collections transport the consumer to a tropical oasis or bright fiesta. Both collections play with rich, bright hues and unexpected shapes. Inspired by the tropical beaches of Hawaii, Paradise comes complete with hula dancers and palm leaves. Vacaciones is an ode to the Latin American party scene.
